2019 Mexico – Culinary Tour

January 3rd -9th

Join FCS Professionals President Jean Knaak for a guided culinary tour in Puerto Vallarta!  Jean has graciously volunteered to coordinate a tour in the city of Puerto Vallarta – the trip includes visiting some places that she has experienced and highly recommends.

Getting there:  Plan to fly into Puerto Vallarta arriving on January 3rd.  You will be responsible for booking your own flight.  Expect to pay $400-$500.

Tentative Schedule:
January 3rd – Arrive, check into hotel and get settled.  Dinner on your own or as a group
January 4th – Rosie’s Vallarta Food.  Shop, cook and eat.  Plan for a full day with Rosie.
January 5th – City tour including tequila tasting.
January 6th – Downtown Puerto Vallarta Food Tour including one meal.
January 7th – Cooking with Rosie Part 2. Shop, cook and eat.
January 8th – IFC Tours : expat foundation home tours; visit 4 unique homes.  Optional evening event: Rhythms of the Night cruise and dinner show (extra cost $140.00)

There will be down time to relax, shop, explore and do as you wish.

Hotel: we plan to stay in the ‘romantic zone’ which is in the center of town.  Hotel will be simple, smaller, and clean and near a beach (example: Rosita Hotel).   Rooms will have 2 beds for double occupancy. Extra cost for single.

Cost: Classes, planned tours, hotel and some transportation and food is estimated in the price of ~$1000.00 USD.  This event is for FCS Professionals members only and their spouse/partner.   There will be a small fee for any +1.  No other guests; FCS membership is required for individuals to sign up.

Current exchange rate is about $1 = 19.2 Pesos which is good!
Plan to use American dollars for most everything.  YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT.  If you do not have a passport allow ample time to get one (or get one renewed).

Registration will be due November 1 to FCSP by check in the amount of $400 to hold you place.  Late registrants may incur additional fee for hotel costs.  Final payment amount will be set by December 1st and will be due by December 20th.  Cancellation for an emergency will incur any cancellation costs all other monies will be refunded.
