We are introducing the FCS Professionals Board on the blog in the month of August
Carrie Hammer is serving as President-Elect this year on the FCS Professionals Board. In her position this year she intends to learn more about our organization, who we serve, and how she can serve in the future.
Carrie’s food career is just beginning! At the start of the school year she will be the Kitchen Manager at Redtail Ridge Elementary School in Prior Lake Savage Area Schools. She has worked in the medical field for twenty years and retired from the Air National Guard with twenty one years of service.
Carrie joined FCS Professionals to “be among people who like to talk about food!” She continues to be a member because of the opportunities to give back and to learn more about the different areas of the food industry.
On a personal note, Carrie is the mother of two boys aged 17 and 21. She has a Scottish Terrier who is territorial and she enjoys being outside.
