Debra Barone Sheats, MPH, RDN, LD, FAND, Assistant Professor of Foods and Nutrition at St. Catherine University, was selected by a committee of peers to receive the Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award in the Didactic Program in Dietetics category for 2017 in Area 2 (IA,MN,MI,MO,NE,ND,SD,WI) . The award was presented at the 2017 Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors (NDEP) regional meeting in Louisville, KY on March 30-31, 2017. The purpose of the Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award (ODEA) is to recognize the teaching, mentoring, and leadership activities of faculty in ACEND accredited dietetic education programs.
